Sold at the lower estimate price
In December 2020 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Evening Sale, which included the work Ecce Homo by Carlo Dolci. The result of GBP 100,000.00 (€ 111,708.91) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carlo Dolci - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Saint Agatha, which sold at auction in July 2018 for GBP 248,750.00 (€ 278,903.45).
