Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2004 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work Ecce Homo by Carlo Dolci. The price achieved of GBP 77,675.00 (€ 109,931.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carlo Dolci - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Saint Agatha, which sold at auction in July 2018 for GBP 248,750.00 (€ 278,903.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ecce Homo von Carlo Dolci zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 77.675,00 (€ 109.931,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Carlo Dolci mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Saint Agatha beobachtet, die im Juli 2018 für GBP 248.750,00 (€ 278.903,45) versteigert wurde.
