Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A view of Ithaca by Carlo Bossoli was sold in the Old Master and British Works on Paper, including Portrait Miniatures from the Pohl-Ströher Collection auction at Sothebys in London in December 2020. It changed hands for a price of GBP 756.00 (€ 844.52) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlo Bossoli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A panorama of Constantinople from Uskudar in December 2010 with an auction result of GBP 553,250.00 (€ 641,768.33).

Die Arbeit A view of Ithaca von Carlo Bossoli wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper, including Portrait Miniatures from the Pohl-Ströher Collection bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 756,00 (€ 844,52) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carlo Bossoli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A panorama of Constantinople from Uskudar im Dezember 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 553.250,00 (€ 641.768,33).
