Auction result fails to reach estimate
This work of art by Carl V. Meyer could be acquired at Bruun Rasmussen in May this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Paintings, furniture and varia auction, the work Girl standing in doorway changed hands for DKK 1,500.00 (€ 201.33) - just shy of the DKK 3,000.00 estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl V. Meyer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work “I arbejdshumør” (In the mood for work) in September this year with an auction result of DKK 38,000.00 (€ 5,094.67).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Dieses Kunstwerk von Carl V. Meyer konnte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia wechselte die Arbeit Girl standing in doorway für DKK 1.500,00 (€ 201,33) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit den Schätzpreis von DKK 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carl V. Meyer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit “I arbejdshumør” (In the mood for work) im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 38.000,00 (€ 5.094,67).
