Auction result well in line with expectations
In July this year Bruun Rasmussen held the auction Paintings, furniture and varia, which included the work From the workshop of a silversmith by Carl V. Meyer. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of DKK 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of DKK 3,200.00 (€ 429.18) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl V. Meyer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work “I arbejdshumør” (In the mood for work) in September this year with an auction result of DKK 38,000.00 (€ 5,094.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Bruun Rasmussen die Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia durch, in der auch die Arbeit From the workshop of a silversmith von Carl V. Meyer zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von DKK 3.200,00 (€ 429,18) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carl V. Meyer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit “I arbejdshumør” (In the mood for work) im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 38.000,00 (€ 5.094,67).
