This artwork by Carl Rottmann achieved an unexpectedly high price at Grisebach in November 2014. In the Auktionen 229-236 - Kunst des 19. Jahrhunderts auction, the work „Ägina – Apollotempel“. sold for EUR 65,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 35,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Carl Rottmann; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot AULIS. sold at auction in December 2008 with the realized price of EUR 110,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 86 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Carl Rottmann erzielte im November 2014 bei Grisebach einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Auktionen 229-236 - Kunst des 19. Jahrhunderts wurde die Arbeit „Ägina – Apollotempel“. für EUR 65.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 35.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Carl Rottmann; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit AULIS. im Dezember 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 110.000,00.
