Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Carl Ostendarp could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The House Sale auction, the work The Reluctant Astronaut changed hands for USD 240.00 (€ 188.03) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Ostendarp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Double Barrel in July 2005 with an auction result of USD 2,400.00 (€ 1,978.73).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Carl Ostendarp konnte im Juli 2006 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The House Sale wechselte die Arbeit The Reluctant Astronaut für USD 240,00 (€ 188,03) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carl Ostendarp erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Double Barrel im Juli 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.400,00 (€ 1.978,73).
