Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2002 Christies in Melbourne held the auction AUSTRALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS, which included the work Quator by Carl Olaf Plate. It changed hands for a price of AUD 1,880.00 (€ 1,139.39) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Carl Olaf Plate have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Third Edge in March 2006 with an auction result of AUD 15,535.00 (€ 9,169.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2002 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion AUSTRALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Quator von Carl Olaf Plate zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 1.880,00 (€ 1.139,39) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carl Olaf Plate auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Third Edge im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 15.535,00 (€ 9.169,48).
