Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Carl Neumann achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2010. In the Impressionist and Modern Art auction, the work Ved tolboden i Beyroeth: scene of a harbour with a toll port, Beirut sold for EUR 45,400.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 16,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carl Neumann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View of Beirut, which sold at auction in March last year for GBP 81,900.00 (€ 97,101.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Carl Neumann erzielte im Mai 2010 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art wurde die Arbeit Ved tolboden i Beyroeth: scene of a harbour with a toll port, Beirut für EUR 45.400,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 16.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Carl Neumann mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit View of Beirut beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für GBP 81.900,00 (€ 97.101,67) versteigert wurde.
