In May 2017 Grisebach held the auction Frühjahrsauktionen 2017 - Kunst des 19. Jahrhunderts, which included the work „Waldlandschaft“. by Carl Gustav Carus. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 18,750.00 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Gustav Carus achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work „Phantasie aus der Alpenwelt“. in June 2015 with an auction result of EUR 225,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2017 führte Grisebach die Auktion Frühjahrsauktionen 2017 - Kunst des 19. Jahrhunderts durch, in der auch die Arbeit „Waldlandschaft“. von Carl Gustav Carus zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 18.750,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carl Gustav Carus erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit „Phantasie aus der Alpenwelt“. im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 225.000,00.
