The work Klung Klung by Carl Fahringer was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. It achieved a price of HKD 93,750.00 (€ 10,556.39), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 56%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Carl Fahringer; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Market In Hoorn sold at auction in December 2013 with the realized price of EUR 15,000.00.

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 93.750,00 (€ 10.556,39) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 56%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Carl Fahringer; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Market In Hoorn im Dezember 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 15.000,00.
