Admittedly, works by Carl Emil Baagöe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work “Hertha” and “Frederik” at anchor at Akureyri, Iceland in March this year with an auction result of DKK 120,000.00 (€ 16,103.75).

Die Arbeit Himmel und Meer. von Carl Emil Baagöe kam im Juni 2016 bei Grisebach zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 3.000,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carl Emil Baagöe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit “Hertha” and “Frederik” at anchor at Akureyri, Iceland im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 120.000,00 (€ 16.103,75).
