Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2024 Bruun Rasmussen held the auction Paintings, furniture and varia, which included the work The fregat Jylland and the fregat Sjælland in rough water by Carl Emil Baagöe. Here, the upper estimate of DKK 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for DKK 3,200.00 (€ 2,796.71). Admittedly, works by Carl Emil Baagöe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work “Hertha” and “Frederik” at anchor at Akureyri, Iceland in March this year with an auction result of DKK 120,000.00 (€ 16,103.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2024 führte Bruun Rasmussen die Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia durch, in der auch die Arbeit The fregat Jylland and the fregat Sjælland in rough water von Carl Emil Baagöe zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von DKK 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für DKK 3.200,00 (€ 2.796,71) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carl Emil Baagöe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit “Hertha” and “Frederik” at anchor at Akureyri, Iceland im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 120.000,00 (€ 16.103,75).
