This artwork by Carl Carlsen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2008. In the Nineteenth Century European Art auction, the work Rowing on the lily pond sold for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,562.48) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Carl Carlsen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work In The Auction House in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 56,807.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Carl Carlsen erzielte im März 2008 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Nineteenth Century European Art wurde die Arbeit Rowing on the lily pond für GBP 10.000,00 (€ 12.562,48) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carl Carlsen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit In The Auction House im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 56.807,42).
