Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2000 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist and 19th Century Art, which included the work Washing laundry on a summer's day by Carl Budtz-Møller. The price achieved of GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,793.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Other works by Carl Budtz-Møller have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2000 the work Le jour de lessive was auctioned for GBP 2,820.00 (€ 4,492.23).

Im Juni 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist and 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Washing laundry on a summer's day von Carl Budtz-Møller zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.762,50 (€ 2.793,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden.
