In June 2000 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist and 19th Century Art, which included the work Washing laundry on a summer's day by Carl Budtz-Møller. The price achieved of GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,793.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00.
