Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July this year Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work 'Between the Vines - Red Fox' by Carl Brenders. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,584.00 (€ 4,181.44), 19% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carl Brenders - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Up a Gum with Mum', which sold at auction in July this year for GBP 8,320.00 (€ 9,706.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Between the Vines - Red Fox' von Carl Brenders zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.584,00 (€ 4.181,44) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Carl Brenders mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Up a Gum with Mum' beobachtet, die im Juli diesen Jahres für GBP 8.320,00 (€ 9.706,92) versteigert wurde.
