Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Vinterlandskap by Carl Brandt was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in September 2009, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 8,000.00 – 10,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 4,500.00 (€ 440.77). Admittedly, works by Carl Brandt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work After The Storm. in May 2011 with an auction result of EUR 2,700.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Vinterlandskap von Carl Brandt im September 2009 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 8.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 4.500,00 (€ 440,77) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carl Brandt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit After The Storm. im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.700,00.
