Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work Seascpae with steamship by Carl Ludwig Bille was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in Paintings, furniture and varia in September this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at DKK 6,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 3,000.00 (€ 402.21). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Ludwig Bille achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A French man-of-war in high seas in September this year with an auction result of DKK 35,000.00 (€ 4,692.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit Seascpae with steamship von Carl Ludwig Bille im September diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen in Paintings, furniture and varia versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 6.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 3.000,00 (€ 402,21) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carl Ludwig Bille erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A French man-of-war in high seas im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 35.000,00 (€ 4.692,46).
