Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2006 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Pictures, which included the work Highland Calves, Jay Valley, Perthshire by Cari E. Watson. The price achieved of GBP 600.00 (€ 875.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Cari E. Watson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Highland calves, Loch Tay; and Highland calves on the hills, Loch Long in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,297.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Victorian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Highland Calves, Jay Valley, Perthshire von Cari E. Watson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 600,00 (€ 875,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cari E. Watson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Highland calves, Loch Tay; and Highland calves on the hills, Loch Long im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.600,00 (€ 5.297,64).
