Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Cal, which included the work Landscape by Cao Yue. The price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,850.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cao Yue - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Autumn Hills And Streams, which sold at auction in May 2016 for HKD 188,800.00 (€ 21,821.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2013 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Cal durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape von Cao Yue zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 7.850,02) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Cao Yue mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Autumn Hills And Streams beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für HKD 188.800,00 (€ 21.821,79) versteigert wurde.
