Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Red Stars over Asia, Africa and Latin America by Cao Xiaodong was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2007. The price achieved of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 5,463.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Cao Xiaodong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Stars Over Hollywood in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 367,500.00 (€ 30,254.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Red Stars over Asia, Africa and Latin America von Cao Xiaodong kam im November 2007 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 5.463,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cao Xiaodong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Stars Over Hollywood im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 367.500,00 (€ 30.254,98).
