A top price for Cao Kuiyin - as previously expected
In November 2004 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Dragon & Phoenix - 800 Years of Patronage, which included the work Waterfall In The Winter by Cao Kuiyin. It changed hands for a price of HKD 382,400.00 (€ 37,089.25) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 320,000.00 – 400,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Waterfall In The Winter is the most expensive artwork by Cao Kuiyin that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im November 2004 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Dragon & Phoenix - 800 Years of Patronage durch, in der auch die Arbeit Waterfall In The Winter von Cao Kuiyin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 382.400,00 (€ 37.089,25) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 320.000,00 – 400.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Waterfall In The Winter das teuerste Kunstwerk von Cao Kuiyin, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
