Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Waterfall In The Winter by Cao Kuiyin for USD 40,000.00 (€ 29,998.50). This price was achieved in the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Cao Kuiyin have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2004 by the work Waterfall In The Winter at HKD 382,400.00 (€ 37,089.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Waterfall In The Winter von Cao Kuiyin für USD 40.000,00 (€ 29.998,50) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Cao Kuiyin wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im November 2004 die Arbeit Waterfall In The Winter mit HKD 382.400,00 (€ 37.089,25).
