Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Mid March by Campbell Archibald Mellon was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in July last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,187.50 (€ 3,806.44). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Campbell Archibald Mellon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work August Bank Holiday, Gorleston On Sea in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 29,375.00 (€ 48,797.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Mid March von Campbell Archibald Mellon wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.187,50 (€ 3.806,44) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Campbell Archibald Mellon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit August Bank Holiday, Gorleston On Sea im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 29.375,00 (€ 48.797,72).
