Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Children on the Beach by Campbell Archibald Mellon was auctioned at Bonhams in London in July last year. The price achieved of GBP 5,737.50 (€ 6,851.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Campbell Archibald Mellon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work August Bank Holiday, Gorleston On Sea in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 29,375.00 (€ 48,797.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Children on the Beach von Campbell Archibald Mellon kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.737,50 (€ 6.851,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Campbell Archibald Mellon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit August Bank Holiday, Gorleston On Sea im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 29.375,00 (€ 48.797,72).
