Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,247.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Campbell Archibald Mellon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work August Bank Holiday, Gorleston On Sea in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 29,375.00 (€ 48,797.72).
