Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The cliff path, Hopton, Norfolk (recto); and The cliffs at Hopton (verso) by Campbell Archibald Mellon was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2014. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,342.72) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Campbell Archibald Mellon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work August Bank Holiday, Gorleston On Sea in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 29,375.00 (€ 48,797.72).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.342,72) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00.
