Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Camilla Engström achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Shanghai in September this year. In the 20th/21st Century Art Sale auction, the work Overflowing Love sold for HKD 352,800.00 (€ 42,566.67) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Camilla Engström - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Secret Island, which sold at auction in April this year for HKD 138,600.00 (€ 141,537.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Camilla Engström erzielte im September diesen Jahres bei Christies in Shanghai einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Sale wurde die Arbeit Overflowing Love für HKD 352.800,00 (€ 42.566,67) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Camilla Engström mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Secret Island beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für HKD 138.600,00 (€ 141.537,72) versteigert wurde.
