A top price for Calum Colvin - as previously expected
In April 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction Made In Britain, which included the work Venus & Mars, 1986 by Calum Colvin. The price achieved of GBP 3,125.00 (€ 3,803.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Venus & Mars, 1986 is the most expensive artwork by Calum Colvin that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im April 2014 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made In Britain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Venus & Mars, 1986 von Calum Colvin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.125,00 (€ 3.803,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Venus & Mars, 1986 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Calum Colvin, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
