Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year Christies in London held the auction Old Master Paintings & Sculpture Online, which included the work Noah's Ark by Cajetan Roos. The price achieved of GBP 12,600.00 (€ 15,046.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cajetan Roos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The animals of Noah's Ark in a landscape with ruins and palm trees, the Ark atop a mountain beyond, which sold at auction in October 2015 for GBP 35,000.00 (€ 48,956.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings & Sculpture Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Noah's Ark von Cajetan Roos zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.600,00 (€ 15.046,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Cajetan Roos mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The animals of Noah's Ark in a landscape with ruins and palm trees, the Ark atop a mountain beyond beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für GBP 35.000,00 (€ 48.956,26) versteigert wurde.
