The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,125.00 (€ 3,983.25) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cajetan Roos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The animals of Noah's Ark in a landscape with ruins and palm trees, the Ark atop a mountain beyond in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 48,956.26).
