Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Furious Tiger by Cai Guo-Qiang was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in June 2021. The price achieved of HKD 1,890,000.00 (€ 205,303.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,500,000.00 – 2,500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Cai Guo-Qiang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Project For Extraterrestrials No.10, Project To Extend The Great Wall Of China in October 2007 with an auction result of HKD 20,487,500.00 (€ 1,826,712.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Furious Tiger von Cai Guo-Qiang kam im Juni 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.890.000,00 (€ 205.303,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.500.000,00 – 2.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cai Guo-Qiang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Project For Extraterrestrials No.10, Project To Extend The Great Wall Of China im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 20.487.500,00 (€ 1.826.712,40).
