Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July this year Phillips in 17 - held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction, which included the work Sudario para Laerte by Caetano de Almeida. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,255.00 (€ 7,490.93), 18% above the upper estimate. Other works by Caetano de Almeida have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 8,255.00 (€ 7,592.90) in March this year for the work Fenda (Slit).
