Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Man - Rural Child by Byen Ung-Pil was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in December last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 25,500.00 (€ 3,055.80) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Byen Ung-Pil have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Self Portrait in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 295,500.00 (€ 24,327.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Man - Rural Child von Byen Ung-Pil wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 25.500,00 (€ 3.055,80) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Byen Ung-Pil auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Self Portrait im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 295.500,00 (€ 24.327,47).
