Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Afternoon Sale, which included the work Floating Head by Bruce Conner. The price achieved of USD 87,500.00 (€ 82,718.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bruce Conner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cannabis Collage in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 631,500.00 (€ 596,993.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Afternoon Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Floating Head von Bruce Conner zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 82.718,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bruce Conner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cannabis Collage im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 631.500,00 (€ 596.993,76).
