In March 2009 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, which included the work Shepherd And Dog by Bror Julius Olsson Nordfeldt. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,540.91), 43% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Bror Julius Olsson Nordfeldt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Summer Dusk (Solitude) in September 2015 with an auction result of USD 68,750.00 (€ 61,592.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 43 % übertroffen
Im März 2009 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Shepherd And Dog von Bror Julius Olsson Nordfeldt zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.540,91) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bror Julius Olsson Nordfeldt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Summer Dusk (Solitude) im September 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 61.592,90).
