In June 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work (Hockey) Winter Sports by Bror Julius Olsson Nordfeldt. The »bidding war« ended at USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,661.35), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bror Julius Olsson Nordfeldt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Summer Dusk (Solitude), which sold at auction in September 2015 for USD 68,750.00 (€ 61,592.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit (Hockey) Winter Sports von Bror Julius Olsson Nordfeldt zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.661,35) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Bror Julius Olsson Nordfeldt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Summer Dusk (Solitude) beobachtet, die im September 2015 für USD 68.750,00 (€ 61.592,90) versteigert wurde.
