Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June this year Bonhams held the auction Art de l'Avant-Garde à nos jours 1912 – 2038, which included the work Une autre planète - Sahara by Brion Gysin. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 3,840.00. Admittedly, works by Brion Gysin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dreamachine in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 32,760.00 (€ 28,127.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Art de l'Avant-Garde à nos jours 1912 – 2038 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Une autre planète - Sahara von Brion Gysin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 3.840,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Brion Gysin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dreamachine im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 32.760,00 (€ 28.127,41).
