Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Day Auction, which included the work Red Riding Hood by Brian Uhing. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 350,000.00 – 550,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 378,000.00 (€ 45,702.95) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Brian Uhing have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Plight Of Lady Vanity in October 2018 with an auction result of HKD 1,625,000.00 (€ 182,977.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Red Riding Hood von Brian Uhing zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 350.000,00 – 550.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 378.000,00 (€ 45.702,95) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Brian Uhing auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Plight Of Lady Vanity im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.625.000,00 (€ 182.977,41).
