In October 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Evening Auction, which included the work Alignment (23) by Brent Wadden. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 47,500.00 (€ 66,440.64), 36% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Brent Wadden - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Alignment (13), which sold at auction in June 2015 for GBP 122,500.00 (€ 172,723.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 36 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Evening Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Alignment (23) von Brent Wadden zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 66.440,64) und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Brent Wadden mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Alignment (13) beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für GBP 122.500,00 (€ 172.723,46) versteigert wurde.
