Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Gold Castle by Brendan Cass for GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,806.97). This price was achieved in the auction The Hoarder Sale at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Brendan Cass - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gold Castle, which sold at auction in February 2010 for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 6,972.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Gold Castle von Brendan Cass für GBP 2.375,00 (€ 2.806,97) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Hoarder Sale bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Brendan Cass mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gold Castle beobachtet, die im Februar 2010 für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 6.972,46) versteigert wurde.
