Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of GBP 11,340.00 (€ 13,214.05) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Boris Valentinovich Shcherbakov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work In the Fields, Yasnaya Polyana, which sold at auction in November 2021 for GBP 30,240.00 (€ 35,504.61).
