Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A coastal landscape with a Dutch three-master in distress and a shipwreck by a fortified town by Bonaventura Peeters was sold in the Old Masters Day Sale auction at Christies in London in July 2017. The price achieved of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 20,922.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bonaventura Peeters have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An estuary with loggers at a northern trading post in January 2004 with an auction result of USD 113,525.00 (€ 91,170.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A coastal landscape with a Dutch three-master in distress and a shipwreck by a fortified town von Bonaventura Peeters wurde im Juli 2017 in der Auktion Old Masters Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 20.922,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bonaventura Peeters auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An estuary with loggers at a northern trading post im Januar 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 113.525,00 (€ 91.170,09).
