Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A herring buss and others ships off a coast by Bonaventura Peeters was sold in the Old Masters & 19th century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2015. The price achieved of EUR 5,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bonaventura Peeters achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An estuary with loggers at a northern trading post in January 2004 with an auction result of USD 113,525.00 (€ 91,170.09).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bonaventura Peeters erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An estuary with loggers at a northern trading post im Januar 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 113.525,00 (€ 91.170,09).
