Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Sculptures, 3 Pcs. by Birgitta Ara was auctioned at Bukowski in Helsinki in November 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 800.00 – 1,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 700.00. Admittedly, works by Birgitta Ara have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Untouched. in April 2014 with an auction result of EUR 3,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Sculptures, 3 Pcs. von Birgitta Ara im November 2011 bei Bukowski in Helsinki versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 700,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Birgitta Ara auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Untouched. im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 3.000,00.
