Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Ice skaters by Birgit Broms was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in October 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 50,000.00 – 60,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 41,000.00 (€ 4,768.25). Admittedly, works by Birgit Broms have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Blasieholmstorg II" in April 2016 with an auction result of SEK 420,000.00 (€ 45,704.05).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Ice skaters von Birgit Broms im Oktober 2012 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 50.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 41.000,00 (€ 4.768,25) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Birgit Broms auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Blasieholmstorg II" im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 420.000,00 (€ 45.704,05).
