Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Gerberas and Delphiniums by Billy Childish was auctioned at Bonhams in London in June this year. The price achieved of GBP 15,360.00 (€ 17,876.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Billy Childish achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work toward a shore in March last year with an auction result of GBP 163,800.00 (€ 194,203.34).

Die Arbeit Gerberas and Delphiniums von Billy Childish kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 15.360,00 (€ 17.876,40) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Billy Childish erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit toward a shore im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 163.800,00 (€ 194.203,34).
