Auction result well in line with expectations
In August last year Bonhams in New York held the auction Discovery Online, which included the work Coal Miner's Bath, Chester Le Street by Bill Brandt. The price achieved of USD 765.00 (€ 760.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 600.00 – 900.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bill Brandt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Van Gogh'S Room In The Asylum Of St. Paul-De-Mausole (St. Rémy)' in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 265,000.00 (€ 170,220.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Discovery Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Coal Miner's Bath, Chester Le Street von Bill Brandt zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 765,00 (€ 760,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 600,00 – 900,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bill Brandt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Van Gogh'S Room In The Asylum Of St. Paul-De-Mausole (St. Rémy)' im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 265.000,00 (€ 170.220,97).
