Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Minerva by Biagio Pupini was sold in the Master Drawings from a Distinguished European Collection auction at Sothebys in London in July 2010. The price achieved of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,272.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Biagio Pupini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Christ among the doctors, which sold at auction in October 2021 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 23,805.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Minerva von Biagio Pupini wurde im Juli 2010 in der Auktion Master Drawings from a Distinguished European Collection bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.272,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Biagio Pupini mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Christ among the doctors beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für USD 27.500,00 (€ 23.805,40) versteigert wurde.
