The »bidding war« ended at USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,399.03), 34% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bessie Potter Vonnoh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Water Nymph': A Fountain in December 2002 with an auction result of USD 147,000.00 (€ 140,200.29).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.399,03) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bessie Potter Vonnoh erzielen.
